Solo Tiramisu is the newborn from an Italian pastry producer established in 1890 by the Silvio family from the Island of Ischia in Italy, famous for its culinary traditions and as a Hollywood destination. The grandmother, Mrs. Margherita IV was the founder and responsible of the pastry production in her home kitchen to supply the family store.
Ms. Margherita V. Silvio is the youngest descendant of the Silvio family, bringing the Italian pastry and confectionery heritage in Washington DC. Margherita decided to follow her real passion and family tradition for producing pastry and confectionery.She instinctively created the business model closed to her culinary traditions learned from her Italian grandma while taking part in the daily food preparation in the home kitchen that served also the family store. In 2020, Margherita made extensive training with a popular Italian Pastry Chef and Chocolatier. Under the attentive eye of Chef Caredda, She refined her inherited skills and learned the art and science of creating modern twists on mixing high quality ingredients and on employing old-world recipes and methods.
"I let the dough rise for long time, from 24 to 36 hours, and then I give a modern touch on it." The result is truly wholesome and sensational.
Solo Tiramisu is born from an inner family attachment to Italian culinary traditions and authenticity and is proud to locally provide the virtue of authentic classic receipes.
