About Solo Tiramisu

A tribute to my mother, whose love of sweets inspires everything I create.

Solo Tiramisu is rooted in an Italian pastry tradition established in 1890 by the Silvio family on the Island of Ischia in Italy, famous for its culinary traditions and as a Hollywood destination. Mrs. Margherita IV, the grandmother and founder, began producing pastries in her home kitchen to supply the family store​.

​The brand was born from a deep family attachment to Italian culinary traditions and authenticity, and is proud to offer Italian wedding cakes and timeless desserts designed with refined, understated elegance for contemporary celebrations.

Ms. Margherita V Silvio is the youngest descendant of the Silvio family, carrying forward her Italian heritage in Washington, DC. While building her professional career, she continues to nurture the family traditions that shaped her childhood. She grew up observing her grandmother’s cooking in the home kitchen that also supplied the family store, an early influence that remains central to her work today.

In 2020, Margherita undertook extensive training with a renowned Italian pastry chef and chocolatier. Under the guidance of Chef Caredda, she refined her inherited skills and deepened her understanding of pastry as both an art and a science, blending high-quality ingredients with old-world recipes and methods.

“I let the dough rise for 24 to 36 hours, then give it a modern touch.” The result is wholesome, refined, and memorable.

Margherita is the artisanal dessert designer and founder of Solo Tiramisu USA, specializing in custom Italian wedding cakes,  authentic Italian desserts, and refined, immersive dessert experiences. 

She is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
